About I Spy

I Spy is the classic "find it" game, sized just right for little eyes. The screen fills up with pictures, and one of them matches the small picture shown at the top — your child's whole job is to spot it and tap it. Each round the scene gets a touch busier, so the hunt grows right along with your child's skill, but there's no timer and no way to lose, so they can take all the time they need. It's a lovely, low-pressure way to build the careful looking and focus that early reading leans on.

I Spy is one of our free memory & attention games for kids — play it right here in your browser, or browse all our free online games.

How to Play

  • Look at the small picture shown in the question at the top.
  • Search the scene below for that exact same picture.
  • Found it? Tap it, and a brand-new picture pops up to hunt for.
  • The scene fills with more to look through as your child gets sharper.

Tips & Tricks

  • Scan the scene in rows, left to right, the same way you read a page.
  • Say the name of the thing you're hunting for out loud — it keeps little eyes on the target.
  • There's no clock and no wrong tap, so let your child search at their own pace.
  • If the scene feels busy, cover part of it with a hand and hunt through one patch at a time.

What Kids Learn
